From our injectables center, an experienced Lemmon Avenue provider will utilize a microneedling pen with PRF as a glide-on product to perform the procedure. After collecting a blood sample from patients and separating the growth factors using a centrifuge, we’ll use the pen to create micro-channels within the skin. With those micro-channels open, your provider will then infuse the PRF and other topicals to glide on the skin & press in the product.

You can expect the skin to be redder in appearance (similar to a mild sunburn) for 1 to 2 days following the procedure. However, the downtime following PRF microneedling is minimal and most patients can resume normal activities soon after their treatment.

Most patients can expect to see immediate results in the form of brighter, tighter skin within 24 hours! Within about 2 to 4 weeks, collagen production will reach its peak. Full results should last up to 6 months before additional maintenance treatments are required.

Both PRP and PRF are made by spinning your own blood in a centrifuge. We spin PRF at a slower rate, which leaves white cells, stem cells, and platelets in the top layers of the post-centrifuge tube and the red cells stay at the bottom of the tube. By contrast, PRP contains only platelets and serum.
